Many a time we ask for something from God and when we start getting it we start to complain. Why is this? This is because God gives it to us in ways we fail to understand. Although some things we receive may seem straightforward but most of the time Our Maker has his special ways of giving us what we asked for far beyond our wildest dreams.
I once asked a man you prayed for wisdom how he would know when his prayer has been answered? He had to think of the answer which I found unsatisfactory when I heard it. So whatever you’ve prayed for or praying for, the poem below might help you know when your prayers have been answered or when you start receiving. The poem below is attributed to Hazrat Inayat Khan:
I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to learn to solve.
I asked for prosperity and God gave me a brain and brawn to work.
I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome.
I asked for love and God gave me people to help.
I asked for favours and God gave me opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted.
I received everything I needed.
Hope this helps.
